COURSE RULES

Thank you for playing Kirkwood National Golf Club. Before your visit, please take a moment to review our rules and guidelines. Call the Pro Shop at 662-252-4888 with any questions. We look forward to your round!

RULES OF PLAY

  • USGA rules govern all play, except where modified by local rules.

  • All play must start from tee #1 unless otherwise directed by the golf staff.

  • Practicing on the golf course is not permitted.

  • Players must follow the instructions of golf staff and on-course assistants at all times.

  • Each player must have their own set of clubs and bag. Rental sets are available at the Pro Shop — call ahead to ensure availability.

TEE TIME RESERVATIONS

  • Public golfers may reserve tee times up to 7 days in advance online.

  • Members may reserve tee times up to 10 days in advance.

  • Online reservations are available for 1 to 4 players. Groups larger than 4 require additional tee times — please call the Pro Shop.

  • Fivesomes are not permitted. Maximum group size is 4 players per tee time.

  • Kirkwood National reserves the right to pair incomplete groups with other golfers to maintain pace of play and course efficiency.

CHECK-IN POLICY

  • All golfers must register in the Pro Shop before play.

  • All players must be checked in and paid in the Pro Shop at least 10 minutes prior to their scheduled tee time.

  • All players must be at the 1st tee at least 5 minutes prior to their start time.

  • If you are running late, please call us at 662-252-4888. We will do our best to accommodate you. Tee times will not be held if other golfers are waiting.

  • The person booking the tee time is responsible for ensuring all guests are aware of and comply with these rules.

CART POLICY

  • All riding greens fees include a shared cart for the golfer. Two players per cart is required. A maximum of two players and two golf bags are permitted per cart.

  • Players operating a golf cart must be 16 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license.

  • Players renting a golf cart assume full financial responsibility for any damage to the cart.

  • Golf carts must remain on cart paths near all tees and greens.

  • Observe all daily cart rules, posted signs, and cart traffic control.

  • When the course is too wet from rain, Kirkwood National reserves the right to restrict carts to cart path only status.

  • Extra carts for non-playing riders are available Monday–Thursday only at $20 for 9 holes / $30 for 18 holes. Extra rider carts are NOT available Friday–Sunday or on holidays.

  • All carts must be returned to the clubhouse upon completion of play and before dark.

DRESS CODE

  • Proper golf attire is required at all times. Collared shirts preferred. No tank tops or cut-offs.

  • Kirkwood National is a soft spike facility.

PACE OF PLAY & ETIQUETTE

  • All players must keep pace with the group ahead at all times.

  • Groups falling behind pace may be asked to let others play through or to skip a hole.

  • Fairway yardage markers are in-ground tee markers at 250, 200, 150, and 100 yards.

  • Repair all ball marks on greens.

  • Replace all divots on tees and fairways.

  • Rake all sand bunkers smooth after your shot.

  • Please do not enter adjacent private property to retrieve golf balls. These are private residences; violators may be subject to trespassing violations and/or suspension of playing privileges.

BEVERAGES & ALCOHOL

No outside beverages of any kind are permitted on the course or club property. By Mississippi state law, all alcoholic beverages must be purchased at the Kirkwood National clubhouse. A wide variety of beverages are available for purchase at the Overlook Bar & Grill and on the course. Any person found on the property with outside alcoholic beverages will be asked to leave immediately. No refunds will be provided.

ON-COURSE WATER STATIONS

While it was a tough decision to remove the on-course water cooler stations, the health and safety of our guests is always our top priority. We encourage everyone to enjoy a complimentary cup of iced water from the snack bar before heading out.

CONDUCT

Kirkwood National Golf Club is open to all golfers. Rude behavior or abusive treatment of staff or other golfers will not be tolerated. Violators may be asked to leave the property without a refund.
